Can you help Ohio survivors access safety and justice?  The Ohio Domestic Violence Network is asking for your support to do just that.  You can help survivors two ways.  Make a gift to our Survivor Emergency Assistance Fund or our Legal Assistance Fund.  The Survivor Emergency Assistance Fund helps survivors with emergency needs related to safety such as gas cards or bus tickets to get to a safe place.  Our Legal Assistance Fund provides legal assistance to survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence and stalking who cannot otherwise access an attorney, for assistance in protection orders, child custody cases, evictions, and other kinds of legal actions.

INFORMATION FOR TEENS EXPERIENCING RELATIONSHIP ABUSE

Teen relationship violence is more common than many people think:

• 1 in 5 teens who have been in a serious relationship report being hit, slapped or pushed by a partner.
• 1 in 3 girls who have been in a serious relationship say they've been concerned about being physically hurt by their partner.
• In a study of gay, lesbian, and bisexual teens, youths in same-sex relationships are just as likely to experience dating violence as youths involved in opposite sex dating.

Ohio Department of Education webinars on Teen Dating Violence Prevention and Intervention
