Tuesday@2
Crisis, Grief, and Loss Response
Join Tuesdays@2 to learn about ODVN’s Crisis and Sudden Loss Response Support Project.
ODVN created this project to support domestic violence programs in Ohio that have experienced a sudden and tragic loss of survivors or staff in their services. When a traumatic loss occurs, this event impacts the family members, other residents in the communal living space of shelter, community, and those who work in the agency.
Agencies are designed to carry on. Advocates are expected to continue serving survivors. All the while in the midst of overwhelm and distress. This project was created in tandem with ODVN’s commitment to addressing secondary trauma exposure through support, training, and actionable practices.
Advocates, leaders, and administrators join Cathy Alexander and Sonia Ferencik to learn more about how ODVN’s team is available to support your agency through practical steps, issues of confidentiality, addressing the community along with how grief and traumatic reactions may impact staff and survivors.
