Supporting Well-Being: Healing Practices to Help Manage Dysregulation and Distress

Boost your energy and wellness by learning techniques to combat toxic stress and the impact of vicarious trauma. Self-care practices can easily fit into your active daily life helping you to reduce reactivity from within. You will be introduced to the fingerhold practice and learn information about the body’s stress response. You can bring balance to your life by understanding how to activate your vagus nerve through movement, deeper breathing, tapping, and restorative poses.

Trainers: Cathy Cave, Senior Training Consultant at the National Center on Domestic Violence, Trauma and Mental Health and Sonia Ferencik, LISW-S, RA, ODVN Youth Advocacy and Trauma-Informed Services Coordinator

CEUs: To obtain 2.5 CEUs, you are required to attend the entire training and complete the evaluation to receive your certificate of attendance. When you go to register, please include your complete license number if you are a licensed counselor or social worker in Ohio.
