Building Anti-Racism Advocacy (Part 2: Changing Systems)

This training focuses on systems advocacy, the harm done by systems to survivors of color, and the advocacy needed to change those systems. You will learn about cultural competency, how to approach the work as an ally/advocate, and the communications skills needed to address systems advocacy.   

Trainer: Expert Tonia Moultry is the Deputy Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for a national organization. She was worked with domestic violence programs, coalitions, and administrators at the state and national levels. Tonia has trained in anti-oppression theory two decades ago and has worked in the non-profit sector for over 25 years. She began her career working with adolescents in residential treatment and families in transitional housing and continued to work with families impacted by substance abuse until 2004. During her 10 year career at ODVN, Tonia provided training and technical assistance for outreach and engagement to underserved populations.  

CEUs: To obtain 2.75 CEUs or a certificate of attendance, you are required to attend the entire training, complete the evaluation and submit your request to training@odvn.org.
