Tuesdays@2
Join us for a webinar on human trafficking unlike any other you have experienced. This training uncovers the stark differences and appearance of human trafficking in metro/urban areas vs. rural areas. You will learn about the tragic prevalence of familial trafficking as a family member will traffick a child for drugs or money for drugs. Noted expert, Dr. Christine Scott Bartman, MPA, JD, Ph.D. will provide a new lens through which to view human trafficking in rural Ohio and address underlying vulnerabilities such as poverty and lack of education.
Specializing in law, legislation, and advocacy, Dr. Bartman left her position as Director of Public Administration, Public Policy, and Legal Studies at the American Public University to work in rural Ohio. For over a decade, she has worked as a compassionate catalyst to push for better ways to address human trafficking efforts. She is the founder of Eyes Up Appalachia, an anti-human trafficking initiative in Appalachian Ohio.
