Advocate Be Well: Addressing Vicarious Trauma, Self-Care, and Resiliency
This 3-hour workshop is designed for you! It’s a time to pause and join other like-minded advocates while exploring concepts of vicarious trauma. Immerse yourself in the practice of mindfulness, yoga, and art expression. With awareness and commitment, you will leave with an art expression of loving-kindness to display as a reminder to take great care of yourself while working on behalf of adult and child survivors.
Because this workshop has shifted from in-person training to a live virtual presentation, we are asking you to join knowing you will bring your own mat or blanket, have space or a chair to practice poses, and bring several art supplies to participate in the art expression activity.
Materials Needed: Art paper, 8″ by 11″ or 11″ by 18″ or an empty pizza box, Scissors, Glue or tape-your choice, Yoga mat or blanket, and one paper plate or draw a large circle on paper as if it was a paper plate.
