about Ohio Domestic Violence Network

Economic Justice Resources

Economic resources are often the most important piece of getting free from an abusive partner. The Economic Justice section of the website is continually expanding. Here you'll find a Tool Kit with linkages for resources for housing, employment, job training, public benefits, health care, etc. There are also documents that explain TANF benefits, how the TANF office can waive certain program requirements for victims of family violence, and how to request a state hearing if your claim is denied. There is also information on housing rights under current Ohio landlord tenant law and specific protections from the Violence Against Women Act that can help you if you are in the Section 8 voucher program or public housing.
