What Does It Mean to be a Board Member of a Domestic Violence Program?

This highly interactive workshop for board members accentuates the unique role of leading a domestic violence/family violence agency. It includes a powerful reflection of milestones in the movement and helps individual members to reaffirm their personal investment in advancing change and forwarding social justice. It is highly customizable to each organization. The workshop includes frank conversations on current realities including the funding landscape, situational assessments and implications for programming. It motivates board members to draw on their diversity, talents and expertise to serve multiple and varied constituents. The workshop can support or catalyze sustainability, strategic planning or stewardship efforts. Past workshops have ranged from 90 minutes to four hours in length.
