Planning Training
This 2-4 hour training presents the latest ideas related to safety
planning for battered persons and their children. The facilitator
will discuss the different types of safety plans, specific techniques
for eliciting relevant information from survivors, how to assess batterer
and life generated risks, and advocating from a woman-defined advocacy
perspective.

Safety Planning Training
This 3-4 hour training addresses some of the barriers advocates face
when assisting survivors who need services other than shelter. Issues
addressed include identifying strategies to helping under served populations,
safety planning using Woman-Defined Advocacy, recognizing re-victimizing
behaviors by individuals and agencies, identifying non-traditional
resources, and understanding consequences for survivors when they
make changes to stay safe. This interactive training includes small
group work and role plays.
