Dismantling Oppression and Forging Justice Cultural Competence Training


This training is geared toward those who have an interest in anti-oppression work and is based on the Cultural Bridges anti-oppression training curriculum. Participants are provided with core knowledge related to oppression, privilege, and how to use their experience with both to be effective anti-oppression advocates. Participants also learn to understand the intersection of racism, sexism, classism, heterosexism, ableism and other forms of oppression.


ODVN staff will provide this experiential workshop that can last from 3 hrs to a full day of training and involves numerous experiential activities and group discussion. Come prepared to challenge yourself and deepen your understanding of the historical, social, and political context of oppression.
